2011-07-06 TM Systems technology selected for Siberia
TM System Finland has been contracted to deliver a complete machine hall ventilation system for a pulp drying line for a new pulp mill being built by the Ilim Group in cooperation with its strategic partner, International Paper, in Bratsk in South-East Siberia.
Projected to cost around USD 700 million and the first new kraft pulp mill to be built in Russia for 30 years, the facility will produce 720,000 t/a of bleached softwood market pulp and raise overall pulp production at Bratsk to over 1 million t/a – making the site one of the world’s largest and most modern softwood pulp facilities.
Output from the new mill, which is scheduled to become operational in the second half of 2012, will mainly go to China.
The contract will be a new reference for TM Systems – to add to the nearly 100 it already has in the mill ventilation area – and underlines the ability of its systems to operate in a very wide range of conditions and with virtually all types of paper machines.

Thanks to its extensive experience in the field, technology from TM Systems can guarantee improved temperature and moisture conditions and prevent the type of condensation-related problems caused by low machine hall temperatures and high humidity.
